Tamar BioBlitz
CMG helped the Tamar AONB Bioblitz team search for mammals at Pentillie Castle on the banks of the Tamar on Sunday 22nd September. We used Longworth traps and Hedgehog tracking tunnels to survey the orchards and hedgerows, with the help of large numbers of enthusiastic children. Over 300 members of the public attended over 2 days, and besides terrestrial mammal surveys, they were also able to get involved in bat surveys, moth trapping, pond dipping and plant identification.
