BioBlitz Tremough

We had a brilliant day at BioBlitz Tremough, despite the rain. BioBlitzes are a great way to raise public awareness of the wonders of nature in the local area, and the Victorian gardens of the Tremough campus did not disappoint. Mammal surveys, bird ringing, pond dipping and owl pellet dissections were among the many activities on the day, and turned up a variety of species. Cornwall Mammal Group were joined by Operation Hedgehog and the Cornwall Beaver Project, as well as live harvest mice and three rather shy hedgehogs, courtesy of Derek Gow.

As always, our aim is to promote the fantastic mammals of Cornwall, and provide everyone with advice on how to help them. Thanks to the BioBlitz team and all the volunteers that helped on the day!
