AGM 2022

The 2022 AGM was held on the top of Bodmin Moor at Cabilla Manor (not to be confused with Cabilla woods near Bodmin!). Here Merlin Hanbury-Tenison is developing sustainable agriculture to support ecological restoration. Merlin talked about the history and practice of his farm and his aspirations to reintroduce a range of vanished species to move towards a natural balance. Tom Shelley and Laura Snell from the Cornwall Wildlife Trust talked to us about CWT’s landscape scale restoration projects and then Mary organised the feeding of the 5000 (or it seemed like it). We split into two groups after lunch, one team headed down the valley with Merlin and Emma to see the beaver wetland and the other team set out to survey (successfully) for harvest mice in the fields around the farm.
