Harvest Mouse Survey Season 2022-23 complete!

Cornwall Mammal Group co-ordinated a series of harvest mouse nest surveys and training events

throughout Cornwall between October and March.

Everyone involved can give themselves (and each other) a big pat on the back for these great results

– we are getting a really good picture of distribution of harvest mice and, I hope a better

understanding of the sorts of habitats and landscapes in which they thrive. Harvest mice will be

starting to think about nest building in April so if you come across any nests please cover up and

leave them be – make a note to check again in the autumn.
